A sloping garden can be turned into usable, level spaces with the right walls and levels. We build retaining walls, steps and terraces, and regrade ground so water goes where it should.
Retaining walls
Stone, brick and timber sleeper retaining walls, built on proper footings with drainage behind so they hold the ground for years. Low walls for raised beds and lawns, and walls with steps between levels.
Grading and resloping
Re-shaping the ground: taking out humps and hollows, setting falls away from the house, and creating flat areas for patios, lawns or a shed base.
Steps and terraces
Flagged steps and sleeper-edged terraces linking different levels of the garden.

Questions we get asked
Will my garden drain better after levelling?
Getting the falls right and adding drainage behind walls is part of the job, so water is directed away from the house and patios.
Can sleepers be used for retaining?
Yes, for lower walls and raised lawns or beds. Taller walls usually need stone or brick.
